Former Islander Miroslav Satan scored a power-play goal and added two assists, defenceman Philippe Boucher recorded his first tally of the season and Evgeni Malkin netted a goal and set up another to increase his league-leading points total to 48. Captain Sidney Crosby collected three assists, while Jordan Staal, Matt Cooke and blue-liners Alex Goligoski and Rob Scuderi registered two apiece for the Penguins, who eclipsed their season high for goals in a contest. The Rangers may set a record this year for most short handed goals allowed in a season. Rosival is terrible -we gave him what a three year contract-I would have preferred to keep Fydor Tutin. So many turnovers leading to one vs goalie scenarios make those shorthanded goals. It's embarrassing to watch. We should have the option to not accept power plays or something. Well, the PK unit showed up those guys tonight. 0-8 for the Canes, and Betts got a Shorthanded goal. Good win, and a great performance by Lundqvist. Great shootout, too.
