NFL Network's primetime coverage begins Saturday, April 2 at 8 p.m. ET when the Rhein Fire travel to Amsterdam to take on the Admirals in the season opener. NFL Europe on NFL Network continues through the final week of the regular season on Sunday, June 5. Coverage of the six-team league, now in its 13th season, marks the second consecutive year live NFL Europe games will air on NFL Network. Akili Smith, the third overall player selected in the 1999 NFL Draft, is among the 266 current NFL players allocated so far to NFL Europe for the 2005 season. For 13 seasons, NFL Europe has been a proving ground for many of today's top NFL players including Super Bowl starting quarterbacks Jake Delhomme, Brad Johnson and Kurt Warner as well as Pro Bowl players La'Roi Glover, Cowboys defensive tackle, Kansas City Chiefs dynamic kick returner and receiver Dante Hall, and Patriots kicker Adam Vinatieri.
