That's a pretty quality team they've got there and it sure as hell shouldn't be wasted away on a rookie QB if they don't have to. It might be a different story if Ponder had more than a month to get ready, and the Vikings felt it would be in his best interests to start right away, but that's not the reality of this year's NFL.
