Steveg
The Cowboys agreed to a one-year, $2.5 million contract with safety Abram Elam late Wednesday evening according to Dave Moore of the Dallas Morning News. The deal is comparable to what Gerald Sensabaugh received 24 hours earlier to rejoin the club.

Bleedin Green
I was an Elam fan when he was with the Jets (preferred him to Smith), but I'm not particularly surprised the Jets didn't feel the need to bring in yet another safety who can't cover. Guy can hit like a truck, and makes the occasional big play, but his skill set is just not what the Jets need at the position. Let's not forget, the guy never even played a snap for the current Jets regime, as he was traded away in the Sanchez deal, so it's not like his past with the team really means anything anymore. HessStation
2.5 for Elam? No thanks. Good for him though.
