  1. Might be the worst draft day decision I've ever seen. Dude is gonna' be almost 30 years old when he finally get to start. And Atlanta might have a 1-year sample size before having to decide on his fifth-year option.
  2. Getting through UDFA film the past couple days and this kid's effort jumps out. Didn't take long before I saw a few tackles that have him covering 30-40 yards on plays where others may assume the play isn't in their vicinity and just kind of jog/trail the play. Not this dude.
  3. I don't disagree that Fashanu will play and that he should be a very good player. But as a backup in 2024 we'll have to wait and see if he plays enough to feel good about using pick 11 on him. If he sees the field and plays six or seven games would it not have been better to use a proven vet for those few games and have an additional weapon for what you expect to be seventeen games? IMO that was a better route. The fact that Douglas was trying to trade up and take a receiver instead of Fashanu tells us he saw the need for a play maker. I know that it wasn't surprising to everyone, but as I've watched them make one move after another that's aimed at winning this year, I was surprised that Douglas had a weapons as his top priority but then went with a backup instead.
  4. I mean, you could just be a grown up and admit you made a mistake by commenting on something you didn't read or you can keep acting like a 12-year-old. I think we can see which of those two options you're choosing.
  5. Because he's far more mature, has a better work ethic and has been less injured than Becton was.
  6. I'm dismissing what you said because what you said was "I didn't read what you wrote, but I'll have you know that I also didn't like what I didn't read"
  7. I don't know why Mahogany fell but I think he can eventually start. Look at a guy who went earlier who I'd said they may take on day 3 in Sedrick Van Prann-Granger. Stud center at Georgia who a lot of people talked about as a top 50 pick earlier in the year. Jets could've had him and he could have taken the LG job.
  8. Simpson isn't making enough money to be a guy you can't bench. He's on a 2-year deal for small money. You can easily bench him and make him a solid backup as soon as Mahogany is ready.
  9. JMO of course, but I think Mahogany would have a path not only to the roster, but eventually taking Simpson's starting job.
  10. Had the same thought and just logged back on to edit/update.
  11. If he plays like he did last year then there's no risk of either the Jets retaining him or another team signing him.
  12. Who makes the final cut? Smith, Simpson, Tippmann, AVT, Moses, Olu are stone cold locks. Schweitzer and Carter Warren should be safe as long as they're healthy. Who else sticks?
