Heard it on my drive home today.  Jets are eager to find a trade partner to move up for a QB, and one of their high enough higher-ups told Sal when he asked.  If true Idzik has to keep everything secret from his own inner circle and the entire coaching staff.

If we don't trade up then it's smoke, since you can always trade up if you want.  Particularly when it's a QB you want and teams like SF are ahead of us who have no such interest.

 

If we do trade up, we have a serious problem with loose lips that goes beyond Rex, right before the draft starts, telling the prospects we're going to take them.

If we don't trade up then it's smoke, since you can always trade up if you want.  Particularly when it's a QB you want and teams like SF are ahead of us who have no such interest.

 

If we do trade up, we have a serious problem with loose lips that goes beyond Rex, right before the draft starts, telling the prospects we're going to take them.

 

That's a fair point.
