  1. LOL … I saw but did not watch, though I’ve seen some Allen highlights which leads to a point - the past few years our short yardage run game has been useless against good defenses … and Allen’s presence would not have changed a thing. Let’s just say that with 2 new vet OTs , plus Fashanu will likely make Allen a much more effective of a pickup - and that is terrific. I might have done it differently - but I think we’ll be okay.
  2. well, hold on - that short yardage role is not a lock just because he’s big and strong. And I think the best short yardage guys have explosive speed/power rather than the sheer size North/South running style … I’d say he might have an important role as fresh & brutal legs vs a tired defense.
  3. Could have picked Hicks, Stover (or the Michigan TE, and Pratt w/ the three 4th round picks. We got cute instead. when it’s late in the 4th rd and we’ve only taken 2 players … Im not terribly keen on taking a supporting role RB.
  4. They got dusted by taking Nabers over Rome Odunze. Maybe the Chiefs could get away with taking a bad attitude guy (who just got over a gun charge) over a team captain, but the shaky Giants? Too big a chance their faith in a mental midget will come back to haunt them. Bears completely scored last night.
  5. I live in Miami and know and interact with plenty of Dolphin fans. And I once lived outside of Boston and knew/interacted with plenty of Patriot fans there. Here is my take: online noise is online noise but in real life Dolphin fans in my experience are a joyous breath of fresh air compared to Patriot fans. I recall multiple times Pats fans - ranging from people I knew, to fellow eventgoers, to complete strangers - going out of their way to antagonize and make football issues personal. Something even approaching that hasn't happened once in 5 years down here with Dolphins fans. Nothing but light fun if the topic was ever brought up. Granted, that's just my personal 2 cents worth of experience, but I have no issue with Dolphin fans. Besides that - try and stay out of internet sports fights. You can find a-holes from every team everywhere.
  6. Pratt from Tulane would be a solid use of Round 4 pick - I think the more you read up about him, the more there is to like - but without listing his pros and cons, I think he'd have a high probability of becoming an asset as a backup and decent chance of an NFL career (his ceiling being a Purdy-like player? That's his comp). The value would match the pick.
  7. That is a fan complaint, not a team complaint. And anyone who was rooting for the Patriots to beat the Jets in the last game is not a Jets fan.
  8. Keep chuckling. The Bills don't scare or own the Jets to begin with. Less so without those two.
  9. If Bowers is available, he's the pick. He could directly help Joe D & Saleh keep their jobs. Otherwise they trade down - guys in a hot seat do not waste a #10 on development.
  10. I really think this is the way if Bowers is there. He ticks the BPA & “ready to play” boxes.
  11. Bowers - yes! McCarthy - no! (not at 10 anyway ...2nd round? Maybe)
  12. Of course not. This message board is more toxic than an Adam Gase locker room during a losing streak.
  13. She's a professional what, cork soaker? Or was that just a personal pay-to-play scheme? I don't much like Joe Biden, but I'd jump in front of a bullet meant for him to keep that "professional" from the Oval Office.
  14. If he was a monster blocker, take him at 10. But bc he's not, I can't justify this selection ... it might be easy to trade down if there are TE hungry teams picking behind us.
  15. Did you see the Dallas game, Week 2? Zach was running for his life and getting clobbered on every play. How does AR not die in that game? Rodgers needed a better OL than this to do anything. Way better.
