joewillie78
Odds are good for at least one or two becoming a franchise QB. Wish is was as easy as already knowing which one. But it's why team GMs make a sh*t load of money, and it's why if they pick wrong, like Tannenbaum, they're out of a job. Jets have yet to like, ever pick one since the 60's. Hence the zero superbowls since. Gotta hope they finally get it right if they go that route and it's pretty hard to reason that they shouldn't. You are very much correct. Just think back all the years where Multiple QBs are taken. Most years, they produce at least 1 Franchise QB, with Last year being a really bad class. But look at other drafts in which multiple QB's are taken, almost all produce at least 1 franchise guy. Even Sanchez's year produced Flacco. Mannings (Eli) year also produced Rivers and Roethlisberger, It would be almost beyond statistical coincidence that none of the upcoming class become a Franchise guy. JohnnyLV
Exactly, and we got more help last night by Pittsburgh winning. This weeks game with Cleveland is "huge" for draft position possibilities. The Rams (via Wash) and Atlants are certainly NOT taking QB's. The Vikes, Titans and the Bills (especially) could all "catch" the Jets. If things fall right, we could easily make it to picking in the 6-8 range, and then with all our picks, easily make a deal to move up and get that QB we want. This next game with Cleveland is the key for 6-10 season and a top 6 to 8 pick. Keep the faith. Why are people so convinced St Louis wont draft a QB. Bradford is just not that good
joewillie78
Why are people so convinced St Louis wont draft a QB. Bradford is just not that good He's not great, but when healthy, he is a pretty darn good QB. He is very accurate, and tends to not make stupid mistakes. I just think they have too much invested in him to look at a QB , especially in the 1st round. Now later yes but not early in my opinion.
CTM
Hate-able? Sure. A bust? No. Not to anyone being logical. He must have stolen your cherry, it's the only explanation for this much butthurt. worst qb in the history of football, hamstrung this franchise for a decade = bust
pedro55
worst qb in the history of football, hamstrung this franchise for a decade = bust That's about the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Yeah Pennington is far worse than Leaf and Russell and a thousand other QBs that were terrible. Pennington might not have been great and had injury issues, but worst QB in the history of football just makes no sense to anybody who ever watched football. Leaf and Russel had the decency to expose thier treachery immediately, before the organization made a huge commitment to them. Pennington locked us into 0 chance at winning a SB for a decade.
