kelticwizard
It's an interesting stat, but of course Joe threw a lot more interceptions than would be allowed today. However, interceptions, while never all right, were not as deadly back then as they are now. Before the West Coast Offense, most passes were to receivers, not backs, and they usually were a good 15 yards or more. If a pass was intercepted 20 yards downfield, the returner went perhaps 10 yards before getting tackled. And field goals were a chancy thing at best. Now the passes go 5 yards or so downfield, 3 steps and the intercepting CB is past the line of scrimmage and the only person left to tackle him is the QB himself-hah!-or maybe a RB who was in the backfield to block. The expression "pick 6" didn't even exist back then, because interceptions so rarely were returned for TD's. So yes, Joe rarely fumbled, but he did turn the ball over more than would be permissible today.
joewillie78
JoeWillie, simply the best proof this organization ever had that the only way you win a championship in the NFL is with a Franchise QB. Not some phony, drafted from some whacky offense who looks lost, and finishes as the lowest rated QB in the NFL. JoeWillie, Johnny Jet, if the Jets get him, both will have something in a common, a RING as part of the NY JETS.
Bob Robbins
I'm guessing that's a function of his quick release? It's an interesting stat though, I've never heard it before.

joewillie78
Warren moon is up there. He fumbled a lot so did farve. Your absolutely right, I'll bet its Favre. Also, even though I support and want him, MIKE VICK may also be up there as I think he fumbles quite a bit, with the way he scrambles.
