Then he showed up late to practice and Belichick played him sparingly at best after that. And in the biggest game of the year, he inactivates him. Contrast that to how the Jets do business. Rex would've made him captain. He did pick the absolute worst week to be late for practice though. They just resigned Blount, who wiggled his way off the Steelers.
