frankiepapa
Saw on Twitter some discussion about possible thumb surgery on Friday? Was there anymore info on this? What would the recovery be? I assume more than ten days we have between games
j4jets
If true, they should wait till the following Monday and do it. We should be able to beat the Texans even with Revis throwing the ball.

As far as I heard it would wait until the offseason.
JetsFanatic
It was said by the announcers of today's game that Fitz will have corrective surgery on his thumb Friday morning.
CrazyCarl40
It was said by the announcers of today's game that Fitz will have corrective surgery on his thumb Friday morning. @KMart_LI: Per CBS's @JamieErdahl, Fitzpatrick will not wait until after the season to undergo surgery + "logical schedule might be this upcoming Fri" Weird it wasn't brought up in the post game. Very strange.

Yeah thats what I had heard. And yes, forgot about us playing TNF. In that case, surgery on Friday and he'll have 16 days to come back and play, or rest him against the Phins too and he'll have 23 days to heal. JetsFanatic
If he has surgery on Friday, I am assuming he can play the following week against the Texans. I don't know how long it would take the surgery on his thumb to heal sufficiently that he can play.

I'd imagine if they're doing a surgery, he wouldn't miss any time. He wouldn't do it if he can play like he did today but had to miss time. There is a game 9 days following surgery against the Texans.

CrazyCarl40
@Connor_J_Hughes: Per Jets, Fitz said in a prod meeting he may have surgery before the end of season. The reporter then added it makes sense to have it FRI a little clarity.
