Updated, 5:00 p.m. ET

The Jets have signed four more free agents to reserve/future contracts, including offensive lineman Lawrence Okoye, the British discus record holder who was with the Green & White the last two months of the season, and former Giants drafted tight end Adrien Robinson.

Here are capsules on the four signees:

OL Lawrence Okoye (6'6", 304), no college — Okoye, who played junior rugby union and threw the discus in Great Britain, entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent defensive lineman with San Francisco after the 2013 draft. He spent '13 on injured reserve and '14 on the 49ers' practice squad before being released last August. He was on the Cardinals' practice squad for another six weeks, was released, then was signed Nov. 13 as an offensive lineman to the Jets' practice squad.

T Jesse Davis (6'6", 309), Idaho — Davis began his NFL career as an undrafted free agent out of Idaho with Seattle last year. He was waived by the Seahawks last August and didn't re-sign with any team during the year.

TE Adrien Robinson (6'4", 264), Cincinnati — Robinson was selected in the fourth round (127th overall) of the 2012 NFL Draft by the Giants. He played in 19 games with one start from 2012-14 and totaled five catches for 50 yards and one touchdown. Robinson was a final cut by the Giants last year and didn't re-sign with any team during the season.

G Craig Watts (6'3", 344), West Texas A&M — Watts was signed as an undrafted free agent by San Diego after the 2014 draft. Since then he was involved in 10 transactions, all with the Chargers, usually involving the practice squad. He was active for one game in those two seasons, the Bears-Chargers Monday night game this past Nov. 9, but didn't play, was waived the next day, then re-signed to San Diego's practice squad two days later.

Posted this since it hit me that the theme on these transactions could mirror the draft to some degree and the Jets thinking may be that to take the next step and become dominating, the OL/TE blocking would be one of the main areas to improve with depth, youth, etc. Obviously 2 other areas are going to need to be LBs inside and outside that have the speed to cover and rush, and PR/KR for STs plus some better cover men on STs. If Jets improve in these areas they should be even better next year building on what occurred in 2015. I left out RB since like great Blocking teams of the past I have seen, they had average backs since any RB can run well when the blocking is that solid. We can pickup RB in FA and the draft that are decent and fill those positions since it appears Ivory and Ridley probably won't be back.

Wasn't Owusu waived/inkured?

I wouldn't count on Owusu being back.  He is a real smart kid, and has had several serious concussions.  He can make good money in the real world.  He should do it.

Shame to, i liked him as a player, and had world class speed.

I actually prefer that he never play again. I really like him as a player, but I do not want to see him die out there and with his history that could realistically happen.
