With the Jets season essentially being over already, the Jets have waived a couple of veterans. Out are CJ Spiller and Jeremy Ross. They have been replaced on the active roster with a pair of young running backs Khiry Robinson and Brandon Wilds.

The Jets seemed to like Robinson when they brought him in this offseason. He was waived\injured late in the preseason. With Bryce Petty starting the last four games at QB, the audition for next year seems to be spreading to other positions as well.

Let the youth movement begin.

Boy, that's really gonna turn things around, I mean, Robinson's a real game changer...

Wanna shake things up? Start by cutting Revis and Firing Bowles

That sure would shake things up, per overthecap.com, it would bump Revis' cap number from $17 million to $25 million, meaning they'd have to cut several other players to get back under the cap.

Is Khiry healthy again?  If so, I love this move, rooting for the kid, hope he's finally healthy and ready to truck some mofos

Bowles said he didn't practice today because his leg is still sore but said he's close to a return and added that bringing him back was the plan all along.

The Jets have claimed LB Arthur Brown off waivers from the Jaguars and waived/injured Julian Stanford. He suffered an ankle injury on Monday night and didn't practice today.

Arthur Brown - LB -  Jets

Jets claimed LB Arthur Brown off waivers from the Jaguars.

Brown barely played during his three-month stint in Jacksonville but will have a chance to prove himself with the Jets over the final month. LB Julian Stanford was waived in the corresponding roster move.

I recall Brown as a highly touted prospect out of Kansas State, but he may be damaged goods at this point and lost his "sideline-to-sideline" speed. We're his 3rd team since Sept'16

Projected a second-round selection, Brown was ranked as the No. 4 outside linebacker available in the 2013 NFL Draft.[17] He is compared to Daryl Washington, because "neither linebacker has the ideal size for their position, but they compensate with sideline-to-sideline speed".[18] In the 2013 NFL Draft, the Baltimore Ravens picked Brown after their star middle linebacker Ray Lewis retired.

Brown underwent hernia surgery during the off-season a few weeks following the draft. Arthur was placed on injured reserve on January 1, 2015. On September 3, 2016, he was released by the Ravens.[19]
