Im at work and I have the radio on at my desk, listening to 790 The Ticket. They're talking about Brees now, but no confirmation, as yet. Just speculation.

Someone talking about Brees being a quality pickup, if true, etc etc etc.

Finheaven board is going nuts. Board is overloading, but nothing solid.

5 years - $66 mill for a QB coming off a torn labrum? Wow. Very good deal for Brees and a risky yet most likely will turn out to be a good investment for Miami. I'm still baffled that if these are the correct contract numbers that Brees would get over 12 mill a year.

Shelton, Hodge, Goodman sign with Dolphins

MIAMI (March 13, 2006) -- Free-agent left tackle L.J. Shelton signed a four-year contract with the Miami Dolphins, who also added two potential starters on defense.

Linebacker Sedrick Hodge and cornerback Andre Goodman also agreed to multiyear deals. They're expected to contend for starting jobs that became vacant when Miami released veterans Junior Seau and Sam Madison.

The 6-foot-6, 345-pound Shelton started all 16 games last season for Cleveland. He spent his first six NFL seasons with the Arizona Cardinals, who took him with the 21st overall pick in the first round in 1999.

Hodge, who played for New Orleans the past five seasons, agreed to a two-year deal, said his agent, Brian Mackler. Goodman, who spent his first four seasons with Detroit, agreed to a three-year deal, Mackler said.

Goodman last year started eight games and had three interceptions, both career highs.

Miami tendered qualifying offers to all three of its exclusive rights players -- safety Yeremiah Bell, tight end Alex Holmes and cornerback Eddie Jackson.

The deal is not official yet with BREES! They are hammering out details as we speak err write! LOL( 820PM)

6 years and 55 million! Saban also signed an OT and a linebacker. He is not fooling around!

That much money for a 6 foot tall qb who is coming off of an injury and had one good year out of how many? Sorry, but this guy was on the verge of being a bust two years ago. They overpaid for him much like we overpaid for Pennyboy.

He will not last in the AFCE.
