No matter what they do...

Recommended Posts

The Jets are always going to suck.

So, we can move on and not talk Jets football anymore, or we can discuss what has to happen in the future for them to "get better" <wink>.

Starting with the O-line, I know nobody wants to hear it because their season ended tonight, but what we've seen Since Downing took over is that they can actually protect the QB.

With Hackett as the OC, the Jets O-line gave up 13 sacks and four billion QB hits through five games.

Enter Downing, and that number has dropped to five sacks through three games with three of them coming in game 1 vs Buffalo.

Over the past two weeks, they've given up 2 sacks on 74 drop backs with one coming tonight against their third-string right guard.

Keep in mind that a lot of these sacks are a product of Rodgers holding on to the ball for too long as well.

Put a QB behind center who can move even a tiny bit and the sack numbers should improve significantly.

Now it's time to put Olu on the field and see what he can do because right now Tyron Smith is the worst of the starting five.

There's some dark forces at work here.

Horrendous leadership and coaching. Not really a mystery.

It's never gonna' happen.  They're always gonna' suck.  They're a few years away from being bad because they don't have a coach and they're not going to find one who wants to come work for Woody.

But hey, the pass pro has come along of late.

It’s really that simple.

Has been for a while.

Saleh should've been fired the second it was revealed he was besties with Beningo.
