C-Mart28
Just thought I'd try to offer something new with my first post... How about Tamba Hali with the No. 35 pick instead of Mario Williams with No. 4? I know Williams has more talent, but I think we can get a better deal with Hali in the early 2nd round and use No. 4 pick for one of the other many needs the team has, like Ferguson. After all at one point he was rated the 2nd best DE in the draft and the only big knock I've heard on him is that he may be too small for his position. Let me know what you guys think. PeterNorth09
I don't think we need a DE that bad. Our biggest need by far on defense is at DT where our only legit starter is Robertson and he's hurt all the time.
C-Mart28
I'm a little confused than. Why are people talking about taking Williams over a guy like Ferguson who is a player in a position that we are in dire need of. Is it because he is so highly rated? Or is it for some other reason? Jethead
I like Hali but I think we might need to take him at #29. If D'Brick is the first pick this could be a possibility. My preference however would be Watson if he's still there. All three would be a heist.
bman
i believe Jets trade down and select either (cutler, or Davis) at 29 they select RB at 35 Best available OT OR Gabe Watson .
Greensince69
Bman I like that scenerio alot. would give us another pick, Still get a player we want/need and a chance to fill more holes. I would think an OLB at 29 instead of the RB unless someone slides that we really dont expect (deangalo) Useful backs in later rounds and I think that Tangini really wants to build the defense. GIlles or Watson would be a great 35.
Stonehands
Tamba Hali does not fit a 3-4 Defense.
bitonti
at DT where our only legit starter is Robertson and he's hurt all the time. yeah he's a 24 year old who has started 32 games. Hurt all the time.
