winB4eyeDIE
Another USA win over Canada in the Stanley Cup. Lightning over Flames and now Canes over Oilers. Yes a "US based" team won again. You must have been the guy waving the American flag in the arena last night. Here's the roster. How many Americans do you count? Craig Adams Seria, AB Kevyn Adams Washington, DC Keith Aucoin Waltham, MA Anton Babchuk Kiev, USSR Rod Brind'Amour Ottawa, ON Erik Cole Oswego, NY Mike Commodore Fort Saskatchewan, AB Matt Cullen Virginia, MN Martin Gerber Burgdorf, Switzerland Dave Gove Centerville, MA Bret Hedican St. Paul, MN Andrew Hutchinson Evanston, IL Frantisek Kaberle Kladno, Czechoslovakia Craig Kowalski Warren, MI Andrew Ladd Maple Ridge, BC Chad LaRose Fraser, MI Mark Recchi Kamloops, BC Eric Staal Thunder Bay, ON Cory Stillman Peterborough, ON Oleg Tverdovsky Donetsk, USSR Josef Vasicek Havlickuv Brod, Czechoslovakia Niclas Wallin Boden, Sweden Aaron Ward Windsor, ON Cam Ward Sherwood Park, AB Doug Weight Warren, MI Glen Wesley Red Deer, AB Ray Whitney Fort Saskatchewan, AB Justin Williams Cobourg, ON And before the season even starts, odd's are a "US based" team will win the Cup due to the fact that there are only 6 "Canadian Based" teams and 24 "US based" teams. McGraw38
Yeah the players are from all over, but last I checked Carolina was in the US, sooo what's your point? Yes a "US based" team won again. winB4eyeDIE
Yeah the players are from all over, but last I checked Carolina was in the US, sooo what's your point? My point is, the US won nothing. Its not US vs Canada. Thats like when all those morons during the middle of the year were booing each others national anthems. Odds are you have a player on your team from the country that your booing. And like I said before you have an 80% chance of a "US based" team winning the cup, so its no big accomplishment. winB4eyeDIE
kudos to both teams. that was a great series. It was really great. I went to bed last night depressed thinking I have a long wait until I see the puck drop again. Fortunately it won't be as long a wait as the last time the cup was lifted. Jetheelz
I like the RBC name better now anyway..used to be the ESA (Entertainment and Sports Arena). With it being owned by a big bank company we call it the "big atm."
