So when Eric Mangini declared the quarterback position up for grabs, his claim seemed something more than the typical offseason bluster of a new head coach. Clearly, Pennington is in a race for his job for the first time since his glorious introduction as a starter in 2002. And this time, he's Vinny Testaverde

This whole "Clemons is the future" nonsense is really starting to get annoying.

What has he done? Thrown a completion or two in mini-camp? Wow.

The cat couldn't even stay healthy or be very effective at friggin' Oregon.

The idea that he can play at all is pure speculation.

Clemmons = Joey Harrington = Not the future = get real = dumb pick

He had one injury in college. Many felt he was the 2nd best QB in the draft and some felt he was the best.

He is smart, a good leader and has good physical skills. We were a team in need of help at QB and we managed to not only fix the OL for the long term, but also grab the 2nd best QB in the draft. How that is a bad pick I'm not sure. Or does it have something to do w/ your Brooks Bollinger signature?

Clemens is the name.

What Wisconsin QB has been successful in the pro's recently?

And aside from 1 injury he was injury free at Oregon.

Bollinger = Soon to be released or at best a #3 to Clemens being the #1 or #2

Clemens = Future

In his four years at Oregon, Clemens had exactly one injury, a high ankle sprain his senior year.

How can you make the statement "he can't stay healthy?

You are correct in saying that he had only one injury, what you fail to mention, however, is that the said injury kept him inactive for almost an entire season.

The knock on Bolly has always been that he's undersized, or as some might say, prone to injury.

Ironic, isn't it, that the undersized-prone-injury guy is the only one amongst this crop that hasn't gone down to injury?

Oh, but he was well protected, you say.

Last year Bolly played in front of, perhaps, the worst o-line in the history of not only the Jets, but the entire league.

He was blinsided, chided, rided and misguided (by herm) and still, no significant injuries, a few victories, and a 300+ yard passing game or two are all chalked up to his credit.

Can Clemmons do that?

Let's get real.

Clemens hurt his ankle in the 9th game of the season versus Washington.

How the hell can you say that kept him inactive "for almost and entire season"?

Who was the best QB in the draft if Clemens was the 2nd best.

Because he seemingly stalks Brooks Bollinger or is related to him and feels that the more he's critical of the other QB's that it will suddenly make it seem like Brooks is better than he is.

I still can't believe that people seriously respond to the poster responsible for the longest-running gag on the website. Fred Jetstone RULES!!!!!

There is a long-running gag in play, it's Jetstone-related, but really doesn't have anything to do with Bollywood.

You're not clued in yet? No inklings? C'mon.

The posts are carefully planned. The clues are becoming more obvious.

All I gotta say is, Fred JETSTONE can, and maybe will, alter your entire concept of physical reality.

The fun, the fun, this planet is fun.
