YJF
In The Biggest game in Jets history. Johnny Sample came up the biggest. One of the forgotten heroes of Superbowl 3. Not forgotten by long time Jets fans and not forgotten by long time NFL/AFL fans. I wasn't around for Superbowl 3 but thanks to all long time Jets fans and the history books. Sample's contribution to this team is well documented. May he rest his in peace and may his memory live on forever.
Savage69
In The Biggest game in Jets history. Johnny Sample came up the biggest. One of the forgotten heroes of Superbowl 3. Not forgotten by long time Jets fans and not forgotten by long time NFL/AFL fans. Your first 2 lines I totally agree with and it's what I've been saying since Day one!! The Colts that year were Number 1 Defense in the NFL and number 2 offense! The Jet Team played lights out and there were no Apologists saying Ohhhh They put 8 men in the Box..Matt Snell ran for 121 yds and a TD! And Matt wasn't even great!! Today for the exception of a few you have stat compilers who crap out in Big Games.. RIP Johnny!
