TEXANS EXTEND JOHNSON

Adam Schefter of NFL Network reports that the Houston Texans have extended the contract of receiver Andre Johnson.

Johnson, the No. 3 overall pick in the 2003 draft, was under contract for two years, and was scheduled to earn salaries of $5.25 million in 2007 and $7.75 million in 2008.

Johnson had career highs last season with 103 receptions and 1147 yards. He was named to the AFC Pro Bowl squad in 2004 and 2006.

He's a baller.

Funny story. In his senior year at Miami, he had a few drops, and even more in practice. He was still great, especially YAC, but apparently wasnt looking the ball into his hands.

After Houston drafted him they gave him a full physical, etc., and found out he badly needed glasses. He has less drops since he started wearing contacts.

8 years, $60 million for Andre in his extension. Needless to say, this man will be a Houston Texan for his entire career unless years from now Houston decides to trade him away.
