Chase Holbrook. Sophomore season- 4,619 yds, 34 tds:9 ints, 70% completion, 155.16 qb rating. 6-6 235 lbs, transferred to NM ST from SE Louisiana, plays in an extremely pass heavy offense by Mumme, but isn't this kid better than Colt Brennan as a player into next year's draft. 4-8 as a starter at NM State. In any of the games that he lost, he never threw more INTs than TDs, and threw for 529 yds, 2 tds, 75% in the game against Boise and threw 329 yds, 3 tds:1 int and 68.9 % completion against Hawaii. Is this kid a winner? We all know that the WAC is whack and is chock full of gimmicky offenses like the pistol in nevada, boise's offense or hawaii's offense which leads to higher scores but up against a defense. The defense may have just plain sucked. Or, it is because NM st rushed for only 5 yds in the Boise game, but then the next week compiled 118 rushing yds vs. Hawaii. Or it is because of Holbrook's 8 yds per completion rating. Brennan had 10 yds per completion and so did Zabransky. So, by the numbers and without the tape, NM State is more dink and dunk with an occasional field stretcher. Chase Holbrook, debunked.

Chase is nothing more than a Kliff Kingsbury, or Timmy Chang.
