What record would he have now with Kid Clemens at QB all season?

If you get into a shootout with Chad as your QB you are going to lose.

Defenses though should be able hold double digit leads 60-70 percent of the time during the season.

Story of the 07 Jets is this.

Offense plays well in the first half, defense sucks

Opponent adjusts at half time shuts down Jets offense, defense still sucks.

Jets have to come from behind late, Chad throws picks, receivers drop passes, coaches make wrong decisions, defense still sucks, Jets lose.

Every person on this roster has contributed to this horrific season.

How do you figure? Most of those INTs and turnovers were when we were ahead weren't they? You don't think that falls on the O? And how many 3 and outs exactly is a defense supposed to withstand before getting tired and breaking? The O getting nothing done is a major reason for the defensive collapses. When the chips were down, KC prevented the defensive collapses by driving down the field for scores. And the defense responded by repeatedly stuffing the Steelers, including in OT.

KC got them down the field one time (the final drive) and got the game to OT. That was great. He did what a QB had to do. Would Chad had done that in that spot ? Probably not. It was a good job.

The point is, the Jets D has been nothing short of abysmal this entire season except for the Steelers game. They blew a double digit lead against the Bengals and let a backup running back rush for over 150 yds. They had a double digit lead against the Redskins with Clemens at QB and let the Skins rush for nearly 300 yds. They let a rookie QB in Buffalo have his way with the Jets D. You could go on forever on the misques of the D this year they have been that bad.

At times the offense with Pennington or Clemens at the helm has done the job. There was a great stat they showed during the game last week. In the first half the were a +21 in total scoring. Second half the opponent was outscoring the Jets by 80. That is an embarssing total and alot of that has to go not only the D but the O as well for not generating any offense and the coaching staff for not making the proper adjustments.

Like I said EVERYONE is responsible for this mess. It's Kellen's team now hopefully he is the future. Do I believe in him ? Nope. I've been down this road with other saviors like Todd, Nagle, Boomer, and Chad.

Until the Jets go out there and get themselves some more big time players on the Defensive side of the football they will continue to go nowhere.
