toon88
lost out on another one Omar...if only his name was Danny Lopez, then you would have gotten him! http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=3155417

toon88
good job omar, is this two straight years losing out on an Oakland ace? EXCELLENT pickup by the d-backs while I'm happy they didn't get Zito for the contract that the Giants gave him, I would have loved to have Haren. Next up to lose out on is Harden when he proves himself healthy. But I'm sure they will get Blanton:dohslap:

Smizzy
The Yankees are holding out for another 35+ yr old vet to earn a bunch of free money on the DL. It's all strategy.
faba
We need to bring in a starter -so I am waiting to see what Omar is thinking and doing about that.
mbn007
Haren, Webb is a nice 1-2 punch. Argument-ally, one of the best in Baseball. Haren should do well in the NL, in spite of his HR propensity (90+ in 780 or so lifetime innings. But no DH in the NL, bigger parks, and weaker hitting #8 guys will help him). Add in Davis, a serviceable lefty, and Owings, an up and comer from their system. Nice group of starters. Oh yes, there is always the Randy Johnson factor, but at his age, with his recent health history, I don't know how much they are counting on him. Lots of good looking, young hitters, who will only get better. They may be the team to beat this year. They led the NL in wins last year, and have really improved the rotation.
