JETSFAN5180
Whats WITH the QB position on this team it should have read. I have compiled a list I may have missed a few please add those names. This organization hasnt had a quality QB since Joe Namath. Heres the list no specific order. Ken O'Brien Pat Ryan Rick Mirer Bubby Brister Browning Nagle Boomer Esiason Quincy Carter Ray Lucas Vinny Testaverde Glenn Foley Neil O'Donnell Brooks Bollinger Frank Reich Chad Pennington Brad Smith Kellen Clemens The key position on any team yet all we have is a list of names. No superstars no Super Bowl winners. The EXCUSE list for he QB is as follows and im sure I missed a few. Offensive Coordinator and the play calling. The wind at the Meadowlands. The Offensive line. The lack of or poor RBs. The lack of or poor Wrs. WHEN WILL THIS CHANGE GENTLEMEN?????????????????????????????????????? WE NEED A QB NOW....................................................................................... PeterNorth09
Vinny and Chad worked out pretty well though neither one of them won us a Super Bowl. Clemens hasn't looked good so far. 4tds and 10 int's. I know the offensive line sucks but c'mon. I have no doubt in my mind Clemens will be our starting QB next year though. Not b/c of merit but b/c the coaches. Forget about Derek Anderson, Donovan McNabb or any other qb this off-season.

A great QB does not guarantee you a trip to the Super Bowl. O'Brien, Vinny, Chad and even Todd for two years were very good QB's. People need to realize that the Bradys and the Mannings of the world come maybe once every 20 years. You win titles running the football and playing great defense. Great defense is something the Jets have not had since the days of the Sack Exchange.

However, more often then not, Super Bowl winners are led by HOF QB's or future HOF QB's.
CoachTsurfing
If we had a great o line and great running back we could have kept chad as starter. I really don't know if Clemens is the real deal or not, but one thing for sure is we need some talent in the trenches.
