MasonJet
http://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/2008/07/14/leafs_hollweg/ TORONTO -- The Toronto Maple Leafs acquired winger Ryan Hollweg from the New York Rangers on Monday for a 2009 fifth-round draft pick. Hollweg, 25, had four points (2-2) and 96 penalty minutes in 70 games for the Rangers. He has 12 points (5-7) in 200 career NHL games, all with the Rangers. The native of Downey, Calif., was originally New York's eighth-round choice, 238th overall, in the 2001 NHL draft. New York gets Pittsburgh's pick in next year's draft, acquired by Toronto in the deal that sent Hal Gill to the Penguins at the deadline. -- I don't see how the Rangers could possibly replace his 1 goal per every 40 games clip. 124
Peace out Hollweg. Not a big loss at all. Not a miniscule loss either.
faba
Hard worker without much skills-you need someone like that in your rotation. I guess one of the two guys they signed one will take that role.
MasonJet
Hard worker without much skills-you need someone like that in your rotation. I guess one of the two guys they signed one will take that role. The only thing he was good at was hitting. And sometimes he made dirty hits which really hurt the Rangers chances of winning. Take Game 3 against Pittsburgh as the prime example. After that game it was pretty clear that Hollweg was done as a Ranger.
