nyjetsjetsjets
please explain why. They broke the rules. They took a supplement that had a banned substance in it that is on the NFL's banned substance list. I just cannot see anyway they could possibly win a court case. Obviously you do, so please explain i would talk about my own experience with a similar situation, but as i already stated, i cannot. in a simple way, the rules of a collective bargaining agreement aren't always lawful. the employer has certain expectations to meet, and in this case, they may not have been met. if the employees can document that, they will win, or there will be a settlement

kelticwizard
"The NFL also said it sent two notifications about StarCaps on Dec. 19, 2006 - one to NFL club presidents, general managers and head athletic trainers and the second to NFLPA executive Stacy Robinson, who oversees the steroid policy for the union. That letter, according to the league, advised that StarCaps had been added to the list of prohibited dietary supplement companies." That sheds some light on the situation. Do you have a link for that, or can you tell us where you found it? Okay, found it.
kelticwizard
in 2006 the nfl told the players that starcaps were fine. Don't know if they ever did, but in December 19 of that year the NFL said they weren't, or at least the company which makes Star Caps was put on the list of companies which make products to avoid. Both the trainers for all the teams and the union were notified. That would seem to negate any endorsement the NFL had given Star Caps previously, if in fact there ever was any endorsement in the first place. nyjetsjetsjets
hmmmmm... from profootballtalk.com JUDGE RULES IN FAVOR OF WILLIAMS AND WILLIAMS Posted by Michael David Smith on December 3, 2008, 7:28 p.m. Minnesota Vikings defensive tackles Pat Williams and Kevin Williams have won a big victory in their efforts to avoid being suspended by the National Football League KSTP-TV in Minneapolis is reporting that Judge Gary Larson has issued a temporary restraining order against the NFL. That means, for now, that Williams and Williams should be allowed to play Sunday. The Williamses said they were heading straight from the courthouse to the Vikings’ practice facility. However, this is far from over. KSTP reports that another hearing is expected in the next few days.
Lil Bit Special
and if they play sunday and the suspensions are upheld they will miss the first game of the playoffs... But if somehow they can convince the courts to overturn it, say goodbye to football as we know it. The owners will totally and completely f@ck the players and the union in the next negotiation. If what they bargained for cannot be upheld, expect major changes.
