Aten
So I got roped into playing fantasy baseball for the first time. We just had the draft and I don't know what I'm supposed to do now. Here is my team. I don't know how bad it is. There are ten teams and the scoring is 5x5 total points. I don't know how the scoring works besides knowing the standard categories. I need saves. Beyond that no idea. C Russell Martin Jeff Clement 1B Ryan Howard James Loney Carlos Delgado 2B Ian Kinsler SS Jose Reyes Miguel Tejada 3B Garrett Atkins (1B) Edwin Encarnacion OF B.J. Upton Jason Bay Carlos Quentin Jayson Werth Jeremy Herida SP Josh Beckett Scott Kazmir A.J. Burnett Edinson Volquez Justin Verlander Chris Young John Danks RP Brian Fuentes Mike Gonzalez Matt Lindstrom Need to start C/1B/2B/SS/3B/3 OF/UTIL/6 P. I don't know how many SP/RP to use given the scoring. Anything else on who to start/sit/trade and what I still need would be super. Link to my team if you don't need to be logged in to see it is http://games.espn.go.com/flb/clubhouse?leagueId=165944&teamId=6&seasonId=2009

neckdemon
i don't know how your league works....but i for one HATED fantasy baseball last year when i tried it. it's just too much work. fantasy football is so much better cause youonly have to worry about one game a week. i actually have a life and i just couldn't be bothered updating my teams roster every freaking day. I loved playing it. It helped me stay closer to the game and made me appreciate more players. But I just dont have the time anymore to spend an hour each night pouring over stats. Jbro22
Fantasy sports are awesome because it keeps you interested in every game. Do week leagues, not daily.

Do week leagues, not daily. i love FF. maybe if i did a weekly head to head baseball league it would have been better. wasn't a fan of the roto scoring either....besides the daily bul****

JohnnyHector
I've been doing fantasy baseball for 15 years and grew tired of it (be it roto or H2H) so I decided to change things up. We're doing a retro league and simulating it using Micro League baseball on my Commodore 64, using players from the 1986 season. Here's my roster (5x5 roto): C - Gary Carter C - Don Slaught 1B - Steve Balboni 2B - Juan Samuel SS - Dick Schofield 3B - Jim Morrison MI - Bill Doran CI - Von Hayes OF - Joe Carter OF - Kevin Bass OF - Andy Van Slyke OF - Rob Deer OF - John Cangelosi U - Ken Phelps P - Teddy Higuera P - Tom Candiotti P - Oil Can Boyd P - Sid Fernandez P - Joaquin Andujar P - Floyd Youmans P - Roger McDowell P - Jeff Reardon P - Steve Bedrosian Bench - Danny Heep Bench - Wayne Tolleson Bench - Lenn Sakata Bench - Mario Soto Bench - Storm Davis
