nj meadowlands
I just took a really long walk. I've been thinking about this mess for 5 straight hours non stop. Here's the way I see it. My hopes to dethrone the Pats and win the AFC East, and then the Super Bowl, are long distintegrated. Any idiot knows this isn't happening. But as I was walking before, the brisk air and smell of fires triggered my memory. My biggest hope for this season is that we can somehow, anyhow, COMPETE for a playoff spot. We have a good defense that will keep us in a lot of games, and if Jay Fiedler isn't badly injured (Pennington is a distant thought in my mind), we just MIGHT be able to get a spark and compete later on in the year. The Fabini injury (though he sucks too) hurts this next theory, but I still feel this way: If we get someone playing quarterback effectively, this team has a chance to compete later on in the year. This is as far from homerism as it gets---if Fiedler can go, the Jets have a shot at a 9-7/10-6 year, with the best case scenario being we get hot late in the year, and at least give us dying fans something to cheer about. Matt39
The offense is so bad. Defenses walking in to face the Jets offense is like a vacation. Akili Smith is better than Chad. Spurgeon Winn is better than Chad. Scott Zolak was better than Chad. Trey Junkin is better than Chad. It's going to be an ugly season offensively. And I think Herms "attitude" is starting to rub off on the defense. Not good. Basically if sh*t hits the bricks, Herm has to be gone.
nj meadowlands
I agree with Herman having to get the boot at the end of the year, but you know what I'm saying matt. All I want is something to cheer about, some excitement. Who knows, maybe Fiedler can become a cult sensation and spark us up.

It was a great post, but if Chad plays essentially we're asking the defense to win games alone for us. Not fair. Excitements going to be limited. Our running back is 32. His longest run last season was 25 yards. Chad can't throw the football. It sucks. It's sinking in. The Jets had their opportunity last season. Conservative football is for losers. nj meadowlands
Conservative football is for parapalegics and homos. Hahaha that is CLASSIC I'm gonna guess that Herman will get it and put Blaylock in soon.
Matt39
Blaylock aint gonna get the rock. The substitution is something Herm has yet to grasp. Im going to lay off on Curtis a bit. What the hell can he do? Our QB can't throw. Thats a problem.
nj meadowlands
Our QB can't throw and our OL is non existant But about Blaylock... I see him getting carries eventually. Herm likes to call for help AFTER the power plant melts.
RSJ
BTW, wtf was the deal with that screen to Baker? I mean nothing against Baker. But when your Back up running back hasn't seen the ball yet and has a engine why not run a screen with him?
