jokerjet
Jets Re-Sign Green, Add Garay to P-Squad The New York Jets have re-signed defensive tackle Howard Green and placed defensive tackle Kris Jenkins on injured reserve. The team also signed DT Antonio Garay to the practice squad. The announcements were made by general manager Mike Tannenbaum. Green (6'2", 320) signed with the Jets as an unrestricted free agent on March 16 and was released on Oct. 17. He appeared in three games (at Houston, vs. Tennessee, at Miami) this season, recording seven tackles (four solo). He played in 13 games with Seattle in 2008 and registered 21 tackles, one sack and one forced fumble. Originally a sixth-round selection of Houston in the 2002 draft, Green has played for Baltimore (2002), New Orleans (2003-04) and Seattle (2007-08). He went to training camp with New Orleans (2005), Miami (2006) and Minnesota (2007) before signing with Seattle as a free agent on Oct. 17, 2007. Jenkins (6'4", 360), in his ninth season in the NFL, tore the ACL in his left knee on Oct. 18 vs. Buffalo. He recorded 15 tackles (12 solos, three assists, seven tackles for loss) in six games this season before being sidelined. He joined the Jets on Feb. 29, 2008, in a trade with Carolina and made his fourth Pro Bowl in 2008, finishing with 53 tackles (30 solos, 23 assists, eight TFL) and 3.5 sacks. He also earned his first career AFC Defensive Player of the Week honor after his performance on Nov. 2, 2008, vs. Buffalo, when he recorded 1.5 sacks, three hurries and three tackles in the win. Garay (6'3", 303) entered the NFL as a sixth-round selection by Cleveland in the 2003 draft (195th overall). He played in four games for the Browns in 2003 and recorded two tackles before being waived on Dec. 13, 2004. The Bears signed Garay to their practice squad for the 2005 season. He was then placed on their active roster for the 2006 and 2007 seasons, recording eight tackles in 10 games. Garay was on the 2006 Bears team that advanced to Super Bowl XLI. His contract expired at the end of the 2007 season.

#27TheDominator
How is a guy drafted in 2003, who has been on an active roster for at least three seasons since still eligible for the practice squad? I think that to be ineglible they have to be active for an entire season. I don't think that means 16 games, but a full season. According to that he was active on the Bears for two, so who knows? I thought they couldn't have played in more than nine games, but this guy supposedly played in at least 14.
