I'd rather have Cliff LEe than Roy Halladay

this feeling is based more on big game performance. stats will say Halladay is better, but I've actually seen Cliff Lee throw GEMS in the World Series against the best offense in baseball.

2008 + 2009 stats:

Halladay: 37-21 record, 2.78 ERA, 154 ERA+, 485 IP, 414 K, 1.089 WHIP, 18 CG, 6 SHO

Lee: 36-16 record, 2.89 ERA, 147 ERA+, 455 IP, 351 K, 1.178 WHIP, 10 CG, 4 SHO

what makes you think they didn't? the jays probably said no lee no halladay.

edit: i just saw that it was a 3 team trade. well then the mariners must have insisted on getting lee.

Just heard that they tried to resign Lee but he seemed to be committed to testing free agency at the end of the year.

Halladay will not be a fan of that small park in Philly-no pitcher can be. The Phillies have their ace but lost another top tier guy almost a wash for them.
