Bugg
That looks dangerous, stupid and expensive. Something only Jim Dolan would think is a good idea.
Sharrow
Are you kidding me, that would be awesome to watch a game from up there! It does look like it could be pretty dangerous though, the railings they show look like they wouldn't even be waist high on most guys.
SMC
They have to enclose that thing in glass. People could easily fall off with those lower ledges while standing up. I think that would even be a code violation. Plus, wouldn't the bridges obstruct the court/ice view for the fans in the top level?
Klecko73isGod
In describing the upgrade, Madison Square Garden President Hank Ratner has the line of the year: "These are going to take it up a notch -- because you're on bridges." That is such a Spinal Tap "these go to eleven" type of line.
RutgersJetFan
Plus, wouldn't the bridges obstruct the court/ice view for the fans in the top level? That's what I was thinking too. They're not doing away with the traditional scoreboard, so the bridges would have to be pushed out. That'd have to obstruct the view from a bunch of different angles. THE ILK
I bet they leave them open, and in-glass the banners for their safety.
Bugg
To quote the story-God are Cablevision employees and execs tools- "In describing the upgrade, Madison Square Garden President Hank Ratner has the line of the year: "These are going to take it up a notch -- because you're on bridges." Because you're on bridges, indeed."
