Bednarik McKinney/LB/Mississippi St in New York for official visit with Jets. Have to believe OLB.

 

 

Most people have him as an ILB but after reading his scouting report he started out

as an OLB in college:

Based on his body structure maybe we are looking at moving him back outside.  If we pick a

Cooper at #6 maybe we look at McKinney in the second round as an edge rusher

Yeah I have to imagine he's getting edge looks from the Jets. Interesting in that some like him as a 2 down ILB thumper and there's a bit of a long-term need there if OLB doesn't work out. He could also potentially play OLB on earlier downs and more of a traditional LB role but also be an option to blitz from inside in passing situations. Supposedly he practiced at DE while in college too.

 

Harold's probably a little more ideal at 37 as an edge guy and Gregory could be worth a shot if he slides out of the first, but if not McKinney wouldn't be a bad option. I imagine tackle is a pretty significant option there too.

O would rather go Eli Harold in the 2nd if we got OLB.
