Here's the bottom line with this Team I've loved for the last 45 years! I've seen moves that I knew would get us back to the Bowl and I've seen moves that are done to please the Fans! Like extending Martin at the age of 29..Pats win Bowls! If Law was important would he not still be a Pat? We keep Fan favorites with their little personal records and the Fans go wow what a classy guy and a wonderful record to have.. Yet when Martin was with the Pats did he shine in their Super Bowl? Did he shine in our Championship Game?? Martin is and always was a stat back..Even in his Super Bowl year he was outrushed by Adrian Murrell on the 1-15 Jets on less carries! I can assure you that Jim Brown was never outrushed with less carries by a RB on a Team that won 1 game all season.. As far as Herm goes..I wanted Fox or Lewis..Fox made the Bowl in season 2 and Lewis has his Bengals off to a 3-0 start! But why bother..I know what the truth is and it does come with age!! Herm was a political appointee that Tags needed to ease things in 2000! He convinced Woody and TB that the old Flim Flam man that TB knew from KC was the Real Deal! Herm is a manager pure and simple..Great Guy but not a HC! I always get a kick when Fans say..We were 1 FG away from the Championship game last year..Does it ever occur to them that all of our 17 points against Pitt were scored by players no longer Jets?? Or who was that that had 50 yds on 7 Carries to get us in range to beat the Chargers?? He's gone too..All off season knowing Jet Fans said dump Abe he sucks!
