  1. Cautiously optimistic. What are his views on the military industrial complex? Just want to make sure he’ll fit in culturally here.
  2. Someone said something stupid a decade ago Cancel them!
  3. RFK is making the announcement next week in OAKLAND! Sounds like it’s arod
  4. That Philly team was pretty bad when Reid inherited it. He completely changed that organization's culture IMO. I recall he had a lot of clock management issues in his early days as HC. Mahomes, no doubt, has taken Reid to the next level, but would Mahomes have developed to what he is now under another HC? Doubt it. The BIGGEST mistake Woody made IMO was keeping Rex that extra year when Andy Reid was available. I personally believe that he would have come to Jets at that time.
  5. green and white versions = good. instead of black, should go with the SB3 unis as alternatives
  6. I always felt Woody would re-hire him at some point
  7. Hockey is it's own cult at the youth level, don't think you're pulling anything from there. Baseball is gravitating more towards Latin America at the highest levels, At the HS level Baseball players still overlap with football, basketball and wrestling. Then you have lacrosse, which is just exploding at the youth and school levels all over the country now. That sport has a ton of overlap with football in its hotbeds, and IMO has a better argument for the "sport of the future".
  8. No one really cares in this country about the sport on a regular basis, but hipsters and immigrants. There seems to be blips in interest when the bigger events happen, but that's it. Been told it's the sport of the future since I was a kid, still not seeing it. I have 2 kids heavily involved in sports so I see it 1st hand, neither play soccer anymore. Lots of kids playing, but it tends to be temporary (they're gravitating towards other sports as they get older ). Culture in other countries with regards to soccer are completely different from what I understand. In a lot of places it's really the only sport kids play, not too much branching out. If a kid's that good, he gets signed in to a developmental program at a young age and only concentrates on that sport. In America our top athletes are all multisport athletes thru the HS years, which is why I don't see American men "catching up". If they're that talented, they're likely playing football or basketball in college.
  9. Yeah but this is the Jets. Going on year 40 of fandom, I’m just conditioned that way I guess.
  10. I think 9-8 or 10-7 is the best the Jets can do in 2024. Likely one and done if they squeak into the PS.
  11. The ball was not released while the contact was made, contact was under 5 yds, cannot challenge PI calls The Allen throw could have been challenged and would have be overturned. Andy Reid's fault.
  12. Ravens have to blow KC out. If it's a close game, there is going to be a call or 2 that doesn't go their way. i.e. - the questionable PI against Buf last night.
  13. The series before the Lions went up by 2 scores in the middle of the 4th, the Bucs were facing like a 4th and 5 or something and punted. I felt that was typical Bowles playing not to lose.
  14. I am no longer worried about a Skynet-type scenario with AI. Thanks for that.
