vs. Baltimore: 11/35 - 31.4% - 119yrds - 0TDs - 1int - 2 fumbles lost for TDs 30.5 rating

Now remember, Mangold was out and Sanchez got dropped 10 times this game with no protection running for his life in Baltimore.

vs. New England: 16/26 - 61.5% - 166yrds - 2TDs - 0int - 105.6 rating

The Baltimore game is the game they all said Sanchez was "regressing" meaning getting worse. You can't possibly judge how he's playing this season by one game. According to his previous career stats at 54.5% completion, he's actually progressing real good if you total up all 5 games so far but the play calling isn't helping him either.

Schotty had 1 handcuff off and the other hand still cuffed to hip the first 5 games. For anyone to think that he's gonna be any better then he is without totally letting him go and do what he does is an idiot. Name one "elite" team that has his QB handcuffed? Can't think of one? Maybe because there isnt one. As far as Miami winning and that be the best for the team is just stupid. Basically your routing for a losing season thinking its going to change something which it isn't. Your still in that "same old jets" mentality.

The Jets need to win this game against the Dolphins, regardless of what effect it would or would not have on Schottenheimer's status.

It is going to be hard enough anyway. I do not believe more than one of the wildcards will come out of the AFCE. The division winner will likely be either New England (probable) or Buffalo; and the other will likely be the WC. Remember, there are three other divisions in the conference, and the other WC could very easily come out of any of those three (West either San Diego or Oakland; South either Houston or Tennessee; and North either Baltimore or Pittsburgh-- the Ravens look like they will win the AFCN, so the Steelers may end up being the WC).

That means, the Jets failing in win the AFCE, getting into the playoffs is going to be almost impossible.
