Reply · 81 · · 12 hours ago Joshua Daniel Bernthold · Whitehall-Yearling High School Ive been saying that since he joined the jets. His arm strength is pathetic. I hate that he was right. I doubt he's right about McElroy, though.

Lupz27
McElroy does suck and he doesn't have any arm strength.....sorry to burst your bubble. Put GMac's brain, heart, and leadership ability, with Geno's legs, Height, and Arm, and Sanchez's ability to bang hot teenagers were looking at a super version of Joe Willie Namath! slats
McElroy was way overmatched on his one start last year. There's a lot of talk about how smart he is, his leadership, etc., but on the field he looked like a guy who didn't know when to get rid of the football. And when he did, it didn't leave his hand with much velocity. His upside is NFL backup, which is a damn nice job for a young man. I hope the Geno is the goods and the Jets look to replace both Sanchez and McElroy next year, though.
Sperm Edwards
Is it possible that McElroy was mildly concussed early in the game - like on the first or second time he got hit - and just didn't want to admit it in the one shot he finally got (and therefore isn't nearly as bad as he looked that game)? kelticwizard
Yes, it's possible, which might explain why the Jets kept him for this time. But for now the focus is on when Geno takes over. Anything is possible-if McElroy lights it up in the preseason, who knows what the Jets will do? Seattle was all set at QB too until a third round rookie turned it all around.
