Jetknowledge
If that's the case I'm very worried... I'm hoping it isn't. I don't believe Milliner has earned the right to the no.1 spot. If they're still exploring other CBs Munnerlyn, Browner, ect. I'd say give them the no.1 and Milliner no.2 and Wilson the nickel as always. I'd much rather have Munnerlyn at the no.1 then Milliner any day, at least until he shows us he is a legit no.1. What happened to competing? And captain over milliner? You must have never seen capt play (5"8)
Jetknowledge
You're not serious are you? Yes, rex said himself kyle can play with the 1s & 2s but he's the only cb we have that can man the nickle effectively. Truth is kyle played 2 when revis left and did a damn good job. And milliner got better every step of the way. I don't have a problem as long as rex doesn't blitz every safety and give them help up top like they do for every other corner in the league. Irish Jet
Kerry Rhodes will fill the gaping holes. All 52 of 'em. Sign that beast.
jack48
Plenty of options in FA and the draft. And none will cost $12 million. some of these jet fans do not deserve intelligence in their front office. teams that go for the big splash usually live to regret it. I did not notice any jump off the page wideouts for seattle while they marched to the SB. And their corners were mid round draft picks, for crying out loud. Too many people get their opinions from clowns like Serby and Gary Myers.
jack48
The New York Daily News reports the Jets have expressed interest in free agent Brandon Browner. However, "it appears unlikely" Browner signs with the Jets at this point. It's the first team connected to Browner since it was announced that he'll only face a four-game suspension to open the 2014 season. He could be a fallback option for GM John Idzik, who obviously knows Browner from their Seattle days. jack48
This is true, even if we re-sign (a healthy) Cromartie. It is just an opinion, but I think Cro's hip is shot. Last year was not the first time he complained of it.
jack48
Meh. BB signing Revis was a short-sighted sticking it to the Jets. They entered free agency with just over $15M in cap, and just spent $12M on one player...who will be able to walk away next season. It's a big **** You to Rex Ryan. Lets see how it affects their total roster before we kiss their rings. Let's see who they have to cut
bergenjets
FOX Boston reports free agent CB Brandon Browner will visit the Patriots on Thursday. Suspended for the first four games of 2014, Browner would be a press-specialist luxury for Darrelle Revis and the Pats. The Jets have also expressed interest, but the Pats appear to be his first visit. Browner turns 30 in August. Do they have the money to sign him? GREENBEAN
Even if Browner was as good as Revis the suspension is a no-go... We can't have Milliner and Wilson as our starting corners for 4 weeks. Maybe if we draft CB top 3, but even then it's still risky. We let Trufant go to the Browns. We resign Cro (or another CB we like) and can still have Browner. All for less than Revis would have cost. Not the worst idea in the world considering Cro is healthy of course.
