Villain The Foe
Decker is a decent WR but we need a legit #1 this kid is the real deal plays big great touchdown today . FYI we don't develop anyone . Last true #1 WR we drafted was Johnson that's the sad part . Watch the elite teams they have 3 WR that can spread the field and catch . Decent? Really? 2,400 yds and 24 TD's in two seasons is better than decent bro. We dont develop anymore, you're right. And its because we continue to do the same thing at positions like WR. We either hit free agency or trade (Decker, Holmes, Edwards just for recent history). The difference with Idzik is that he understands that he needs to spread the wealth around the team so you dont want to pick up both Decker and a Desean Jackson for example in FA, and because you just signed Decker you dont need to put first round money into another WR when you have an established WR and a credible one in Kerley. How about filling a hole in the secondary that we've NEVER contributed to with high picks like a safety, add to our passing game but at a different position with TE which is what we need and then draft a few developmental players for Sanjay to develop. If Sanjay can't develop then he can be replaced with a coach who can. Back to Decker, Decker was on one of those "elite" teams you speak of with 3 WR's and he accumulated the stats above. Now all of a sudden he's a Jet so he's "decent". Either he was 1 of the 3 WR's on an elite offense or he was simply "decent". Please, dont make the excuse of Peyton Manning, Decker had to run the route, get open, make the catch and run in for the TD.
detectivekimble
Or I could just be hating on him. Stephen Hill looked good in his first ever game too. Lets see this time next year Stephen Hill never did anything like that. That was beast mode.

Villain The Foe
Stephen Hill never did anything like that. That was beast mode. He never did anything like what, catch a TD on a CB that doesnt know how to turn his head and track the ball? Dog, it was nothing like what James Jones did today against legit coverage. It was a good play by a rookie with some talent, but you guys are seriously over blowing it as if it was a top 10 highlight reel catch that showed some sort of rare talent. It was a TD on a corner who doesnt cover well....evidence by the tape.

The announcer also says that Benjamin is saying "I may have dropped 4 passes, but..." Stupid announcing, but it seems like he may be a bit inconsistent which is what most people were afraid of with Benjamin.
heymangold
Benjamin looked awesome and Watkins looked awesome. Alshon Jeffery is killin it. Stephen Hill is probably carrying around Kelvin's pads at practice down in Carolina.
