Fred Jetstone
Whoever ends up as HC can end up looking like friggin' genius. It won't be hard taking this team from 4-12 to a Super Bowl. The team was mis-coached and mis-managed but the talent was there. Look at the roster, it's chalk full of pro bowl caliber players: LAW MARTIN MAWAE BOLLINGER COLES VILMA ABRAHAM What is needed is a fat ass o-tackle and a fat ass d-tackle. Fill those holes. Use the talent properly. Get the right coach who will out-coach a team or two..and I see the Jets going to the dance...NEXT YEAR.
Blackout
who are the two players, Terrel Owens and Larry Johnson? Brian Urlachor and Joe Montana?
Fred Jetstone
What is needed is some weight up the middle, o and d. This 4-12 record is deceivingly, disproportionately low. The jets are a defacto 9-7 team who will get a #4 pick in a great draft year. I'm optimistic!
runnyc262
Curtis Martin? Not any more. An All Pro person though. Brian Bollinger? No way. John Abraham & Jonathan Vilma? Yes Ty Law? Not as a Jet. He is out of here. Kevin Mawae? Will he be back to his old self? If so, will it be as a Jet?
The Gun Of Bavaria
Jesus Christ is still under contract and his GM has said he will not be traded. God, while a Free Agent, is demanding a long term, cap killing deal that the Jets cannot afford. Sorry, no Super Bowl for the Jets in our lifetime
madmike1
i'd agree that the jets DEFENSE is a player or 2 away from being a super bowl unit. the offense is a WHOLE NOTHER STORY.

The Jets were ranked 30th against the run last season. They are not "one or two players" away from a Super Bowl unit. Do you even bother to watch the games? Do you even bother to watch the games? when your offense is doing NOTHING and digging holes with turnovers and awful field posision you're down in games early and when teams are up in games they will run more and more to kill clock. but i shouldn't expect a know-nothing patsy bandwaggoner to understand why that happens. Fred Jetstone
Do you even bother to watch the games? Yeah, I saw the victory over the Bills - awesome team effort. I saw Bollywood's 300+ yards against the Phins. I saw the Raiders fall. With a new HC, dude, this team is going places.

You mean like the Chiefs game where it was the fault of the offense that they ran all over the defense? Got it.
madmike1
You mean like the Chiefs game where it was the fault of the offense that they ran all over the defense? Got it. they gave up 2 AWFUL 40 yard runs on the first 2 plays of that game. that was an HORRIBLE job. it was also against the best running team in the NFL. the jets wern't the only defense the chiefs made look bad. they ran all over your team as well(while brady was self destrutcing with 4 picks). they run over every team they play. but you're a know-nothing patsy homer so you have no perspective of that. you just name 2 plays go into the corner with your tom brady shirt and put your fingers in your ears. Sharrow
Also remember that they didn't have holmes against the pats like they did against us. It would have been just as bad if they did.

I'm as optimistic as the next Jets fan, but not dellusional. Take off the rose-colored glasses. .500 would be nice in 2006, IF we get the right coach. Two years from now, 9-7 or a wild card are all I can hope for. But this team needs help, top to bottom.
Sharrow
I think we have a chance to be in the hunt next year, we probably wont make it, but there will be a chance if all the chips fall right.

How are the Jets going to "be in the hunt" when they play in the same division as the Pats and Phins? Jets will be lucky to win 6 games next year. BigJermaineFromQnz
Bolly is a pro-bowler? lol... Also X off "abraham" and "Law" from that list, k? It will take a long time to sort out this TOTAL DISASTER that bradway inflicted upon our team
