So coaching actually does matter?

Just wondering because I’m watching the Knicks who were projected to be by far the worst team in the nba and so far they are 3-3 having beaten some very good to excellent teams.  Tom Thibodeau is there now and seems to be doing a really good job getting guys like Julius Randle to play smarter and better.

the Jets haven’t won 3 games all year

I keep hearing that the Jets problem is talent yet some of these teams making the playoffs aren’t that much better

As with anything, it's a composite. Talent can make up for bad coaching. Coaching can make up for bad talent.

There's no magic bullet like bringing in a coach is going to fix the Jets talent problem. Both are going to have to be better.

Bill Parcells nearly took a 1-15 team to the playoffs the next year with basically the same exact roster

Unfortunately the only Parcells like figure out there was Jim Harbaugh

OMG, I was going to start an identical thread. Coach T is the man, I feel the Van Gumby days are back!

BTW, you nailed it with Quickly, what a stud, judgement is still out on Obi.

It is a refreshing feeling and Jets fans will taste these flavors in the very near future.

Is there anyway we can avoid the inevitable Schotty disaster?

Bill Cowher, please come here and save us from this dysfunction

Parcells flushed the playoffs down the tube that same year in one of the worst managed games I have ever seen against Detroit.  It was embarrassingly bad.
