hawk
Early, obviously, but currently hold picks 1 and 2 overall. Has that ever happened? Better yet for them, Carolina is going to keep losing probably, and Chicago may win a game or two but probably less than the Broncos, Cardinals, and Pats? As they are currently 1 and 5 and will surely win some games. Crazy. Not to mention, they probably trade Justin Fields to take one of the top guys if it plays out this way, and get a haul for the next guy in line. Colts in '92 as far as I could find have been the only team to do it. Didn't work out too great for them, but this draft seems like a pretty good one to have the first 2 picks. No idea on what Fields' value would be at this point. Maybe a 2nd if he has a few more good performances this year. Maybe ATL would target him? Not sure, they could look to just sign Cousins. It'll be interesting to see though. The truly crazy thing for Chicago is they could choose to trade down AGAIN to a team desperate for Maye. Get yet another extra 1st in 2025, plus another 2nd or so this year, while still walking away with an elite prospect like Fashanu or Alt. If they don't **** up these picks, they're poised to truly be a great team for a long time. **** that city....first Connor Bedard, now Caleb Williams?

Colts in the 90s (took Etman and Coryatt)

Beerfish
Carolinas decision is looking pretty awful right now. Chicago will be in a bit of a dilemma though a good one if fields comes back an has a few of his good games near the end of this year. We can all endure the 27 'Jets need to get Fields'! threads on the main forums if his name gets brought up re trade before the draft.

Caleb Williams, Marvin Harrison Jr and DJ Moore is a pretty nice offense.

It's early but there is nothing I see ti suggest Chicago should not go QB. Fields is just not good enough. But good enough to sit the new guy for a year
