Sarge4Tide
Jets currently have 66 players under contract. That leaves 24 open spots. https://www.jetnation.com/new-york-jets-roster-players/ How will they should use those 24 spots in my humble opinion... STARTING QUALITY PLAYERS (2) (High Value Free Agent or 1st / 3rd Rd Draft Pick) Wide Receiver Safety HIGHER CALIBER BACKUP / NEAR STARTING QUALITY PLAYERS (3) (Quality Free Agent or 3rd / 4th Rd Draft Pick) Center / Guard Wide Receiver Running Back QUALITY BACKUP PLAYERS NEEDED (5) (Free Agent or 4th / 6th Rd Draft Pick) Offensive Tackle Tight End Defensive End / Edge Linebacker Quarterback (#3) BACKUP / SPECIAL TEAM QUALITY PLAYERS NEEDED (4) (Free Agent or 7th Rd Draft Pick) Linebacker Safety Cornerback Wide Receiver CAMP BODIES NEEDED (10) (Free Agent or Preferred Undrafted Free Agent) Punter Long Snapper Quarterback Wide Receiver Running Back Fullback Offensive Line Defensive Line Cornerback Safety
C Mart
STARTING QUALITY PLAYERS Disagree about Safety...Backups? Yes..But I think they really like Clark and Adams as starters. HIGHER CALIBER BACKUP CB - Specifically outside CB - one that can play should Sauce or Reed go out QUALITY BACKUP PLAYERS NEEDED OT - By trading down use 1st or 2nd rounder on future L OT prospect..And if you can still sign Bakhtiari or Andre Dillard on the cheap I would... BACKUP / SPECIAL TEAM QUALITY PLAYERS NEEDED I think they are set w/Sherwood, Barnes and Surratt

A starting safety may very well be there in round #3. I really believe that the Jets must go hard for Mike Williams in free agency for our wide receiver spot, because I personally don't believe that any of the 3 top wide receivers will be there for us at 10, and picking one at that spot will be a reach if they're gone. If I were the GM, I would do everything I could to get Mike Williams, even overpaying him if I have to. At #10, I would try to trade down anywhere down to #19, and recoup our 2nd round pick. With the #11-19 pick, I would pick a tackle, which will be a right tackle, since the top rated left tackles will be gone by then. Let that draft pick fight with Morgan Moses for the starting right tackle spot. Moses would be a quality backup if beaten out, and if not, you have a quality right tackle that could start next year after Moses contract is up after this year. With the 2nd round pick, I like the top center in the draft, and I would run to pick him up. Let him start at center, since if he would have been in the draft last year, the Jets might likely have drafted him over Tippman. Let Tippman fight it out with our new left guard, Simpson, for the starting spot, and expect Simpson to be the quality backup at guard/center, along with Schwitzer. Now, you have a extremely good and deep offensive line, you have your starting wide receivers, and you are ready to roll!!!!
BCJet
The thing I’m most interested in is how many OL and specifically OT we keep. While it’s pospat to have a “swing tackle” when you look at our current backups (Warren and Mitchell) and the tackles available in this draft, I’d love to see us take someone like Guyton and have him play exclusively behind Smith at LT. You then have Warren play exclusively behind Moses and really try to develop these guys into starters in those spots for 2025. I don’t know how much really goes into moving back and forth but I’d imagine it’s not easy for a young player who is trying to adjust to the NFL

Drafted OT (Guyton, Fautanu, Morgan or perhaps Mims) to backup Smith and Warren to backup Moses.
