All true....in hindsight. If we picked Justin Fields, he would have been in no better position given the lack of talent at the time. We may have given up on him. Sam Darnold? Sure, five years after the fact and now has a team around him. Would he be doing what he would be doing for us? Doubt it. Sometimes, and lets be honest it is common now in the NFL, teams give up on QB's FAR too fast, and they need to go somewhere else and mature to get any better. We have the situation we have because we have the situation we have. Coulda/woulda/shoulda is a great way to kill time over a beer, but that is where it ends.
