It’s a tough call trying to rank guys who have their statues in Canton already.  I mean, how can I be expected to decide such a thing?

Saleh was a much better coordinator than Gase was.  How much of the defense's success was due to Saleh vs. Ulbrich, we can't know.

But I would argue that Saleh made a lot more idiotic decisions and said a lot more idiotic things than Gase did, all the while with a much better roster.

This poll isn't fair. Each and every one of these guys has been frequently declared the "worst coach ever" by a considerable number of Jets fans.

Bowles obviously runs away with being the best, even if you don't like him.  It's a relative scale and he easily had the most "success" of the three with the Jets and is again now outperforming them with Tampa.

Gase was already known to be an incompetent failure before being hired, and the gloriously offensive-minded coach produced the NFL's worst offense with the starting QB who just took his team to 5-0 with a win over the Jets, while holding the honor of producing the Jets' worst season since Kotite.

Saleh's offenses continued to suck yet still outproduced his predecessor despite being given the second biggest bust in NFL history under center, and of course having a far better D.

It's hardly any sort of impressive ranking, but any order other than Bowles, Gase, Saleh is pure recency bias.  Regardless, none deserved to keep their jobs, so it's simply sad to think about.
