Now now men...let's play nice. RIP to Terri Schiavo. All here made some interesting points. To some of them, I say this...that poor woman was starved to death. I never saw anyone in a "vegetative state" do as much responding and blinking and making sounds ever. She definately wasn't brain dead because she wouldn't have been able to do those things. And before someone makes a lame comment, I say this because I watched my cousin in a coma and then officially declared brain dead. And all that time there was never any response from here. She may have been able to hear us..only she and God knows that, but there was no sign of life in her. As for the husband knowing her last wishes and wanting to respect them, what happened to her wishes 15 years prior to now or at least all the years before 1998 when all the legal hoopla began. I dont know what his motives may have been or if he was heartbroken and tired, but he could have divorced her and left her to her family. At any rate, it's all said and done. May God bless her soul and may her family find some kind of peace and relief.
