Matt39
Just not by the Yankees. Nope. But still, the Cardinals and Astros embarassed themselves. In 2001, the Yanks lost to a better team. They showed a lot of heart taking that team with two of the best pitchers of all time in their prime to a game 7. They lost on a lucky bloop single, it happens. 2003- The Yanks got outplayed, complete let down series. 2003 was still a great year, and Game 7 of the ALCS is probably my 2nd favorite baseball moment of all time, 2nd to the 96 ws. mbn007
You are smarter than that statement mbnoo7. Being a few mill above your competition or being 80-100 mill above, you tell me which is more a lock for success? True enough. But the Mets have been a decent amount above several teams that have made the playoffs the past few seasons, but what have the Mets done? Not 80 million above, but a decent number.
