Ravens sign LB Polley to one-year deal

NFL.com wire reports

OWINGS MILLS, Md. (April 11, 2005) -- Free-agent linebacker Tommy Polley signed a one-year contract with the Baltimore Ravens, who expect the four-year veteran to play next to Ray Lewis in the team's new 4-3 alignment.

Polley comes to the Ravens from the St. Louis Rams, where he averaged 72

This is a good under the radar low risk signing.

Polley is fast but he's small and suspect against the run. See Falcons 300 yard performance in the playoffs.

But in Rex Ryan's new 4-3 scheme which is really going to be like the 46 defense, His father mastered. Polley will be used as a blitzer and coverage guy.
