PatsFanTX
yeah you have to welcome these measuring stick games. the jets have nothing to lose and everything to prove. So losing to the Pats for the 7th straight time wasn't a measuring stick?

Johnnybones
So losing to the Pats for the 7th straight time wasn't a measuring stick? I agree that Pats first half was just terrible on the Jets side. But I like how they've come along for the last 6 quarters. They've now had 3 games to try and figure things out on both offense and defense. The Pats game wasn't a measuring game because we simply didn't yet know if week 1 was a huge fluke of a victory. We've now seen them come back against the Pats, and go into a hostile Bills environment and play well. We've taken important steps forward since the first two quarters of the Pats game, let's see where we stand at the 1/4 mark of hte season.
GM
You're getting pretty good. Nice spin. So what "quality" wins do the pats have this year?
Johnnybones
Point is: There's a huge difference between week 2 and week 4 in terms of evaluating football clubs.
jets22
So losing to the Pats for the 7th straight time wasn't a measuring stick? Seems I read two threads that you used that, at least you are consistent, but grasping at the same straw over and over gets old
faba
The teams that have beaten the Colts the last couple of years are ones that pounded the ball at them with the run and punished them physically- we do not have that type of team so we will have to find other ways to win this game
LionelRichie
the key to beating the colts is to hold them to fg's. let peyton move the ball from 20 to 20 but keep them out of the endzone. that and chew up time of possesion on offense. Good teams have the versatility to go power or finesse. The Jets are a finesse team right now, and need a couple more big mofos to go mano a mano with teams that need to be punched in the mouth.
