joewilly
It looked like a lotta 4-3 sunday & obviously it worked, along with much more aggressive play calling. are we going back to a more 4-3 look?

It just looked that way because all of the movement and shifting. On almost every play, the Jets had an OLB on the LOS, thus, making it look like a 4-3 front. It was still the fundamental 3-4 defense.
bitonti
agree with Tex one thing the defense did do was cut down on their splits up front on certain running downs - rather than sticking in the base the whole game

I was surprised how well we disguised the blitzing schemes with the likes of hobson, coleman etc though. great gameplan
PatsFanTX
agree with Tex one thing the defense did do was cut down on their splits up front on certain running downs - rather than sticking in the base the whole game bit, And that was because the Jets utilized the run blitz so often on Sunday. BTW, on Dillon's long run, the Jets blitzed again over the Pats left side. That was the reason Dillon blazed for 50 yards.

It was funny, near the end of the game Bryan Thomas made a play and Simms couldn't decide if he should call him an LB or Dlineman.

faba
The Dillon long run is where we got burned- we were still shifting along the line when Brady snapped the ball- the aggressive defense we have started I can live with that.

With all the confusion the Jets defense handed to Brady on Sunday, giving up one long gainer is not a bad price to pay. It's not like there was a breakdown in the secondary which resulted in a touchdown.
