Poor Brett Favre

All this guy do is try for his team, and he really still does still have the skills...

Ted Thompsin should be shot for the way he's handled this team.

They were so intent on rebuilding after they lost to the eagles that they left Favre completely devoid of any talent, they mishandled J.Walker who was the only talented reciever on that team, and the line has gone to ****.

On top of that the defense was only mediocrly improved.

I feel bad for the guy, because he plays with the most passion out of anyone... he could easily win another superbowl, imagine if he was on the Giants???

That's an assinine statement.

You think Brett Favre is the problem and not the complete lack of talent around him? He makes Donald Driver look like Jerry Rice, for Christsakes.

He also makes stupid throws and bad INT's all the time. He's keeping the packers in the 90s. They needed to start rogers this year to find out what they had but now they are just another year behind in their stalled rebuilding process.

he makes stupid throws all the time because:

1) He is constantly playing from behind.

2) The running game is ass.

3) The offensive line is AWFUL.

Besides which damn near HALF of his picks are due to his ****ty recievers being out of position, not seeing the ball, or dropping/tipping.

The management and coach failed to do ANYTHING good with that team... seriously what did they do good besides bring in AJ Hawk? (which was like a #5 draft pick anyway)

what did they do good?

Bret Favre forces more passes than Maxman at a Soriority House.

You could make an argument that the reason for most of his picks is because the DB's are in position, whether his receivers are or not. He threw picks into double & triple-coverage plenty last night. Neither you nor I know whether the receiver ran a route incorrectly on any of those plays, but they seemed to be right where the pass was. Problem is so were 2-3 Seahawks. He totally underthrew Driver on a go-pattern that would've been a sure TD.

He resorted to doing what he did last year; just chucking it up there & hoping his guy comes down with it. On one of his last picks, Driver was WIDE open crossing the field (and of course the trio in the booth said nothing b/c they were in a 3-hr Favre ball-licking contest). Favre never even looked at him & threw it into triple-coverage instead. For all his experience, Favre - at least at times - doesn't see the field the way he used to. He's staring down receivers in a way that didn't happen in his prime. The one accurate thing the announcers said right was that he was throwing as though he was trying to get 11 pts with one pass when there was 9 minutes left in the game.

Yes, Green Bay is rebuilding. Not coincidentally, they stink while they're in the process. If he could lead a so-so team to a superbowl on his own he would've done it by now before they were in total rebuild mode. His one SB ring came when GB had the #1 defense in both yards & points.

He was a great, great QB once, but his time has passed. Yeah, he still has the arm, but it's not enough - not any more than Vinny from 2000-2004. I'm not comparing Vinny's career with Favre's, but there is a similarity in that they can both still heave the pigskin a long way & really hard, but the rest of their game had deteriorated. Still show flashes of what once was, but they no longer have the whole package that made them more.

Brett Favre could play till he's 50 if he wants. He played well for the most part last night. For some reason the Pack cannot get Ahman Green started and having Alexander run 40 times on a defense eats up clock and led to Seattle putting up 34 points.

Favre has the old AFL mentality to me- throwing the ball down the field and not 4 yard passes- I respect him for all his accomplishments -he has struggled now in the late stages of his career helped by lack of talent on offensive line and a defense forcing him to play from behind.
